Pfitzner Performance Gearboxes secures development grant
PPG is pleased to announce that it has just secured a business development grant via the South Australia government’s Innovation Voucher Programme. This will see the company benefit from a 50,000 dollar boost towards its manufacturing operation in Green Fields, South Australia.
The initiative has been created to help companies that are wishing to expand and consequently, need to invest in both staff and equipment.
“We are fortunate to be in a position of growth, with overseas sales increasing due to our ability to access strong markets”, explains Business Development Manager Richard Sanders. “We therefore welcome the assistance this grant provides, as it enables us to invest more into our manufacturing facility. Consequently, this allows us to get our new products on sale quicker and enter export markets that would otherwise be unobtainable.”
The news comes at a time when the automotive sector is winding down its presence in South Australia’s northern territories. Therefore, PPG’s drive towards increased productivity and continued growth in global sales is applauded by local government officials, especially as the company is looking to employ more skilled people in the area and to treble production by 2015.
